How to read gambling bonus terms

Identify what has actually been credited
Separate your deposit, the bonus, winnings from your deposit and winnings from the bonus. An account balance may combine funds with different withdrawal rights. Check whether the offer is automatic or must be accepted before depositing.
Check eligibility, location, the covered product and the deadline. A promotion shown on an international website is not necessarily legal or available where you are. The permitted game category still matters.
Calculate the required turnover
A 20-times wagering requirement on a €50 bonus means €1,000 in total stakes before a possible withdrawal, if the multiplier applies only to the bonus. A rule based on both deposit and bonus can demand more. Read the exact calculation base.
Turnover of €1,000 is not a certain loss of €1,000, but every stake carries risk. Games may contribute at different rates: a €10 bet at a 10% contribution rate counts as only €1 towards the requirement.
Check restrictions that change the outcome
Look for a maximum stake, excluded games, minimum odds, expiry date, winnings cap and identity checks. Breaking a term may void the bonus or related winnings under the applicable rules.
Read the order in which balances are used and what happens if you withdraw your deposit. Keep a dated copy of the accepted promotion and its terms; the banner alone does not describe the contract.
Decide beyond the headline amount
Compare the cost and restrictions with an affordable leisure budget. Do not assume the required bets will be recovered, and do not increase deposits or play faster to unlock a benefit before a deadline.
If the offer demands more time or money than planned, declining it is a valid choice. Availability, local law and terms can change; check the current official version.
