Identity checks and withdrawals: protect your documents

A regulated operator may request identity evidence. Check the recipient, exact domain and submission channel before sharing it.

01

Check the website before sending identification

Find the domain and legal entity in the official register and enter that address yourself. An unexpected message may lead to a copied website displaying a genuine company name or licence number.

HTTPS encrypts the connection; it does not certify gambling authorisation. Compare the domain, declared recipient and procedure available inside the verified customer account.

02

Separate registration, verification and withdrawal

French regulator ANJ distinguishes provisional registration from validation of player information. Read the operator’s document requirements and procedure. A displayed balance does not mean every payment check is complete.

Keep the request date, documents submitted and acknowledgement. Ask which information is missing or inconsistent instead of repeatedly submitting your entire identity file.

03

Document a withdrawal request

Record amount, date, payment method and displayed status. Available cash, unsettled stakes and promotional credit may be treated differently.

A published processing time is a condition to check for the particular service. Ask for the reason for a hold and the relevant contractual clause in writing. Do not deposit more to supposedly unlock a withdrawal.

04

Respond to suspicious requests

Never disclose passwords or banking approval codes. If an intermediary asks for private fees or a tax to release money, stop and contact support through the domain you have independently checked.

If you sent documents to a fake site, preserve messages and consult CNIL’s identity theft guidance. For a dispute with a legal operator, prepare a dated complaint before considering mediation.
